Relegation and Title (Sunday Div 1)

Post by Redders »

The last two rounds throws up some interesting scenarios for the relegation dog fight and the title challengers.

Its a two horse race for the title:

Vale (+25) 38pts
West (+17)36pts

Vale
-Gardens (A) who are fighting for survival.
-West (H) who want the title.

West

-Lion (H) who arent mathematically safe yet.
-Vale (A) who want the title.

RELEGATION BATTLE

USC (-6) 20pts
Pontian (-7) 16pts
West Beach (-16) 15pts
-------------------
Gardens (-8) 14pts
East (-28) 7pts

Gardens
- Vale (H) Massive game for both sides.
- East (A) Wont make it easy for any side.

Beach
-Pontian (H) again, massive game for both sides.
-Downs (H) Downs wont make it easy.

Pontian

-Beach (A) Massive game for both sides.
-Farm (A) Farm are never easy at home.

Lion
- West (A) Will want to win for the title.
- Florina (H) Will want revenge for Cup loss.

Tough games for all the sides involved. Its been an interesting league this year. No run away winner and only 4 teams that have nothing, but pride to play for.

Pontians certainly dont have a catch up game and neither day WB.

Redders, you guys are safe! with 20 points you dont need anymore. With Pontians Vs WB any result there saves you for example

Pontians win 19pts - Lion 20pts - WB 15pts = Lion Safe

Draw Pontians 17 - Lion 20 - WB 16 = Lion safe

WB win 18pts Lion 20 - Pontians 16pts Lion Safe.

Start looking forward to div1 next year Lion. Will ya keep the Real ONE on??????

Pontians will be pissed off, they probably thought they were safe and now they have to win at the beach which has proven difficult for most teams of late. :(
And what a piss-take, the only game we win ALL F$@#ING YEAR is against the downs!!!
Nice scalp to take but WTF?
....He's sick.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy she knows that he was going with this girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavours last night. Guess it's pretty serious

Reckon i know what game ill be going to watch in the last round if both West & Vale win this week should be a big crowd at Westies to see who wins the league...

Would like to see West win it actually now Farm don't have a chance good to see a someone different win it...

Mighty reds if you go down to Westies last game of the season make sure you get there for 11.30 cos the only game that will be on at that ground will be the over 35's. They don't usually pull a big crowd but if you go and the bloke across the road walks his dog at that time it could be standing room only. Big game this weekend for westies can't see Vale losing to Parafield and Lion always tough

I believe that Westies play there last game of the season at the Vale, not at Northbri avenue. Also i would think that parafield will be a tough game at their ground against vale this weekend as they a fighting against the drop to div 2, and always hard to beat at home. Westies against Lion this weekend, i would think looking at lions away form that westies will have the wood over them, making for a cracking last game of the season.

Going back to Div 2 - P.H.E
