Im presently listening to my ears ringing after The Cure concert last night. Robert Smith Rocks. They played for 3 hours with no break or support act.

Brilliant show.

Only thing missing was a keyboardist, like they had with them in 93, given that a lot of the Cures 80's stuff has a heavy keyboard component.

Robert Smith, unbelievable vocals, effortless!

how impressive was it though when robbert smith played the keyboard leads on the guitar! awesome, gutted no love cats though.

Anyone that ive spoken to that went said it was an amazing show. I had a chance to go but passed. kinda regretting now that i did

My point exactly PM, tracks like love cats, icing sugar etc. etc. although you could play them, they wouldn't be the same... so they probably thought "what's the point".

But you're right, his improvisation on the guitar was pretty amazing, even when he broke a string but just kept going.

Mind you, they have been banging out their own tracks for 30 years, so you think they'd be good at it by now.

On a newer note - Sydney band The Cops "Drop it in their laps", fantastic album.

been liking what ive heard from a aband ive recently come accross "Silversun Pickups" - got a couple of greta songs in 'lazy eye' and 'well thought out twinkles'

also the shins new album is awesome but of course it would be
