Maybe the umpires have.
I might be old, senile, short sighted and a poor driver but give me some spinach and I'll have you for breakfast!

Re: AFL 2024
Big choke ok. I thought the Hawks were playing the best football at this time of the year. As much as people knock Ken, he has been able to inspire an average player list (albeit a magic midfield) to win after a big thrashing the week before.

Re: AFL 2024
I was there with the missus watching it (Missus is a port supporter and got corporate tickets). There had to be at least 40% hawks supporters there, was surprised there was so many.
Was a great game and surprised Port won, Hawks have definitely been the team of champions up until this game. Ken did a great job building them for the win, he will have to do even more this week for them to beat Sydney.

PA have to be favourites. They beat the Swans by 100+ a few weeks ago.Cooper wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 2:58 pmI was there with the missus watching it (Missus is a port supporter and got corporate tickets). There had to be at least 40% hawks supporters there, was surprised there was so many.

Re: AFL 2024
The AFL will be well pleased.
It’s two transplanted sides (South Melbourne and Fitzroy) in the Grand Final @ the MCG.
I wonder if the allocation of tickets for the artificial clubs’ plastic supporters of Sin City (Syderney) and the bane of the north (aka Brisbane) will be taken up. If not, and to not embarrass the AFL with some empty seats, the mighty AFL could surely flog off the remainder to more corporate boozing suits.

South Melbourne to defeat Fitzroy 11-20 margin and the coach to give his premiership medal to the injured captain.
Charlie Cameron first goal, Heney to get the Norm Smith.

Re: AFL 2024
South Melbourne you could say yes, but Fitzroy merged with an already existent Brisbane Bears so not really a move as you suggest.

Re: AFL 2024
What a blowout score with Fitzroy beating South Melbourne. Embarrassing finale for the AFL.
And does Aussie rules really need behinds or points or whatever they’re called as a “score” when they miss? For goodness sake, there’s no crossbar, no goalkeeper to beat and no offside. Isn’t that enough to just pay a goal if it goes between the big posts and even if it scrapes the big post and goes through?

Because AFL is its own sport. Why does it need to be like other sports?Con M wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 8:13 pm What a blowout score with Fitzroy beating South Melbourne. Embarrassing finale for the AFL.

Re: AFL 2024
The joke is that the team that wins the league wasn't crowned champions. It happened in the sanfl and wafl this year as well thanks to post season mickey mouse competitions.

Lol pops, couldn't get further from what happened, although Charlie had a good chance to snag the first one.Popeye Magoo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 11:17 am South Melbourne to defeat Fitzroy 11-20 margin and the coach to give his premiership medal to the injured captain.

Looking back at my first post on this thread, I did at least pick the premier.
