Australia's Olympic qualifying match against Vietnam

Post by eagleboy »

Australia's Olympic qualifying match against Vietnam will be played behind closed doors, as part of coronavirus precautions, but it's otherwise been business as usual for the Matildas.

I find it hard to believe we are exposing our girls to a game in Vietnam on Wednesday.

They appear to have very good safety precautions in place ,safer then other asian and most european countries at the moment. As long as none of our players have the flu /cough before they go there they wont be allowed in. If the Matildas go there just to play the game then come straight home they will be fine. I would not be going on any scenic tours or partying anywhere like some young male aussie players did. Play the game come straight home.

The mens games for the WC have been postponed. What if we forfeited. Would it be 3:0 to Vietnam and Australia still goes through.

Good luck to the girls.

A well earned victory for the Matildas,. 1 - 2, 7 - 1 on aggregate.
Now we just have to wait and see if the Olympics go ahead.

The FFA,The AOC, the AFC and FIFA need to look at themselves. Caitlin Foord will be quarantined for 14 days as a safeguard against coronavirus, A few others may follow.

she should have sat out the game it was obvious early in the game she was not 100% - game already in the bag and good players on the bench she did not need to play.

another poor troll attempt, Eddie?
Never being in the fiction section of any library, and if you cant accept the truth based on scientific evidence and scripture, then your ignorance wont save you.

Are you actually saying you truly cant see why the Olympics wont go ahead?

You say you're a realist, but this shows you are far from that lol

So you're a radical then. Only your "god" counts.

Not surprised, but at least spare me the "I'm not a sheep" crap because clearly you are.
