Nations League

Post by ozzie owl »

England Squad

Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke), Tom Heaton (Burnley), Jordan Pickford (Everton).

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Ben Chilwell (Leicester City), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Michael Keane (Everton), Harry Maguire (Leicester), Danny Rose (Tottenham), John Stones (Manchester City), Kyle Walker (Manchester City).

Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham), Ross Barkley (Chelsea), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Eric Dier (Tottenham), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Declan Rice (West Ham).

Strikers: Harry Kane (Tottenham), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Callum Wilson (Bournemouth).

Bit sad the Chelsea pair of Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek both with long term injuries at the same time.

Have to say IMO Fabian Delph have to be very lucky only 11 EPL appearances .

There seems to be a lot more clubs represented in the squad than in previous campaigns, says a lot about the impact of their intensive youth development over the last ten years or so.

Hold on, haven't you previously slated the youth development in England?

Yes, I have slated it in the past but they are finally moving in the right direction and producing some young players with the ability to compete internationally.

It will take a while longer to see if all the EPL clubs give them the early opportunities, like the Europeans do. :?:

I see the lunatic fringe of England fans played up again last night, I'm sure Toomer & Co will defend them.

Do you know what happened and what caused it or have you just made a blanket judgement without all the facts?

Careful, your jealousy is showing.

Semi final of the nation's league and needing extra time to be knocked out. It must really hurt to see this England team improving so much and getting to two tournament semi finals in a row.

so according to you, 'mocking' is a sign of jealousy.....if that's the case, why are you so jealous of WAH?

For me Lingards's goal was not offside,England should have won in regular time,it still does not excuse the poor defending in extra time.

Only just about to watch the game. No Liverpool or spurs players in the starting line up and still it took extra time.

Jealousy is a terrible thing.

No excuses needed, some spoke errors. Not the first choice line up. Still took ET to knock us out.

When was the last time your lot got as far as that in a decent tournament? Poor little jealous boy.

Misplaced?

Good enough to get to a semi final of a world tournament. Have your lot done that?

according to Hawksey, its a media beat up, the locals started it, the local police were heavy handed, the locals don't appreciate English humour, the English media are waging a class war against football supports.....have I missed any excuses Hawksey.

many countries have that element domestically....but none match the Poms for the way and the frequency they export it overseas....

my opinion.....misplaced nationalism due to the inability to accept their declined status as a country.....
