Thanks for that, but there is still a long way to go yet, apparently if the Oystons pay the ordered amount they could just as well get the club back.
I hope that doesn't happen as the supporters have had more than enough pain to deal with since the EPL days.
The other point is whether the EFL decide to deduct the club 12 points, despite the supporter groups pleading with them to intervene for nearly seven years, to no avail - not even a response.

The league doesn't need hooligans like them. Disgusting behaviour, matches abandoned, missiles thrown on the pitch etc...

Not at all, but it wasn't done for the same reasons as Millwall supporters perform their antics.
The Blackpool supporters were simply demonstrating their disgust at the way the club was being deliberately run into the ground and stripped of its assets by the owners.
It has now been proven in court that they siphoned the 'parachute' money after being relegated from the EPL into their own pockets and cheated the minor partner whose investment had bankrolled the push to the EPL, out of his rightful funds.
The supporters threw tennis balls onto the pitch, not rocks or sharpened coins and staged one peaceful sit-in in protest at the EFL ignoring their appeals for assistance, which led to the match being abandoned - the resulting awarding of the 3 points to their opponents in no way affected the leagues end of season positions or points..
A very small number of fans (about four) also got a bit naughty but no one was injured in any way.

So that justifies a pitch invasion? Not a Millwall fan but besides an U23 match when was the last time one of their games was abandoned from a pitch invasion?Old Master wrote:Not at all, but it wasn't done for the same reasons as Millwall supporters perform their antics.

When was this Under 23's abandonment. I heard of 2 but they were nothing to do with a pitch invasion.
Apparently, it's OK to have a pitch invasion of there's a good reason. I can't think of Millwall having a a game abandoned for that reason since before I was born.
Meanwhile, Blackpool throwing things on the pitch, invading the pitch etc... Scum, ban them all.

Didn’t you guys have a match abandoned in the 90s against Chelsea?

There was a brawl after a penalty shoot out. I don't think it was abandoned.

4th round FA Cup Replay, won 5-4 on penalties. John Spencer missed the last penalty for Chelsea.
Chelsea fans on the pitch attacking Millwall players. I was too busy celebrating to even notice it.

I think it was a stabbing.
I was in shock when I heard about it, as I had never seen so much as a push and shove at Bloomfield Road before I came to Oz in '74.
There was always a really good atmosphere at matches as most away supporters used to make a night on the town, or riding a tram along the Promenade to see the Illuminations after the game.

Re: Happy for OM
From the local Blackpool newspaper, 'The Evening Gazette'
Why we will not print Owen Oyston's message to Blackpool FC fans
Bloomfield Road will be rocking once more at the weekend as Blackpool FC fans are set to return in their thousands.
Paul Berentzen
Published: 16:45 Thursday 07 March 2019
Blackpool fans' return to Bloomfield Road is just days away.
The patience shown in the run-up to this long-awaited return, with more than 14,000 home fans expected at the stadium on Saturday, has been nothing short of remarkable.
The supporters have fought long and hard to get to this point. Saturday will be a day of celebration and nothing should be allowed to overshadow that.
Least of all the man who has caused so much upset and anger for loyal Pool followers, Owen Oyston.
Today, he contacted The Gazette with his message to fans and the team ahead of the big game.
We will not be printing a word of it.
The blame for so much of the mess that has blighted the club for too long rests with him.
He has repeatedly declined to answer legitimate questions about his ownership of the club. He has refused to be held accountable for his actions.
He dodged those same questions again today.
So no, Mr Oyston, we will not pass on your message.
Some supporters may want to know what he said. But coming now, two days before Bloomfield Road roars once more, it would only undermine what they have worked so hard to achieve.
Regardless of the result on Saturday, this weekend will be a victory for the fans.
They deserve this moment. Nobody else.

It may have only been one letter but a completely different name.
You're talking about 40 years ago. Blackpool have one of the worst records for pitch invasion in recent years.

How many games have been abandoned in the last 5 years because of Millwall fans? How many because of Blackpool fans?
They didn't go to only cause trouble, that was just an added bonus to them.
