i know a lot of clubs at U12 and above who have started pre season training in either October or November, so seems to be normal.
However we need to remember that these kids still need a break and recovery times as they i still growing and developing.
If you are only training one day a week at the moment and increasing this in the new year, then that is probably ok.

too much? surely as has been pointed out before, risking burn out in kids who get no break.

Beach run for under 12's  Surely this time should be spent with soccer balls at their feet to further develop skills, they are U12's and shouldn't be unfit ??

you would think so wouldnt you....unfortunately just because you go to a bigger club and pay higher fees doesnt mean you are getting better coaching

They might need these fit kids in U12 for the up coming NPL season to fill spots on their list

Simple stuff really, let kids play football and good coaches will keep the session intense (for those looking for fitness). Those that cannot coach football default to beach runs, uni loops and all the other bollocks like passing to cones....
