Point being you're the one touting "honourable losses" now!
looks like Polands humiliation is affecting your thought process.....when did I say that those losses in Brazil were honourable???

I'm just comparing the quality of opposition...

So what were those losses? Part of the learning journey?

Seems Poland's football team's defense is the same as their country's defense in W.W.2.

England saving Europe in WWII

thanks (in-order) to a very cold Russian winter in 1941, the Russian Army and then the Yanks that you don't have a German monarch sitting on your throne....oh wait.....

Pretty poor taste to compare football with the horrors of war.

You are right, England did nothing at all to save Europe. We did not send the army, air force or the navy into war at all.

My grand parents did nothing at all.

What nationality are you?

@ Hawksey....don't be such a drama queen....youre not the only one to have suffered personal loss.....I still stand by the notion that the Russians, bad German planning and the Yanks played a more decisive role in liberating Europe.....that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge the role played by others...

anyway...back to the football....

1. You could argue Toomer is in the same boat
2. I don't get offended with the war thing - seems the Poles know how to move on, unlike 95% of the rest of the world who can hold grudges for hundreds or thousands of years.
