Apnea or apnoea is suspension of breathing.

Apnoea where I come from. Just like "whingeing" >> "whinging".

The only "interest" I have in this thread is a good laugh at a 3rd world soccer nation trying to make out they're a 1st world soccer nation. By the way, the word apnea can be spelt that way, or apnoea, & means suspension of breathing or suffocation. Check the English dictionary & throw your Polak one down the pan.

Its Polack, you silly Pom. And I know what sleep apnoea is, never heard of apnea (must be a cockney accepted equivalent) - and begs the next question why you have such a language that "accepts" so many different types of spelling? Can you make your minds up at all?

Back to the game. I hope Aaron Mooy has a blinder and Riley McGree gets a run.

ps, page 69 of the 'Tiser says the game is on Foxy TV @ 10.30pm Adelaide time.

They omitted to say it is also on 9GO! (CH93.99) where 75% of the people without FoxyTV can see their Country play if they wish.

Can I safely assume Toomer won't be watching as it is past his/her bedtime or he/she is posting from the Old Dart and isn't interested. Probably same goes for God Isn't An Englishman, Not Nice Cyril, More Controversy et al?

Most people know what it is, but you obviously don't know there are 2 ways of spelling it. Sign of a poor education? Oh, and if you think so little of the English language, don't use it, use Polak instead. No, I won't be watching Iraq v Soccerwhos , I have no problem sleeping.

Great, so we've spent years ramming a 433 curriculum down our kids throats so that we have these pathways to the international squad, and Ange has moved the goalposts

Seems to be the new " in formation " , England played with three at the back against Germany this morning .

Argentina used it to win a World Cup back in the 80s and Hoddle had England playing it in the 90s, Spurs and Chelsea are playing that way, so it's not new.

This is the problem with having a narrow curriculum, tactics come and go and players need to have the flexibility to adapt to all systems and styles.

What an embarrassment. Shambolic defensive lineup, lazy midfield, all round poor performance against a third rate team....the Socceroos consistently disappoint.

At least last night the away supporters respected the home team national anthem last night, not like in Dortmund.

Kruse was really poor.
Can’t remember the last good game I’ve seen him play for Socceroos.
An inform Troisi much better option IMO.

Have to agree Kruse had very poor game, doesnt seem to work hard enough to be in the right positions.

I think part of the issue with Kruse was he was expected to help out the back 3 and be a Midfield/winger also. They penetrated many times down our right which made Kruse have to try and get back which he struggled to do.

We had an overload of players centrally which made us control that area mostly but it meant we had issues out wide. Kruse is not Alonso Chelsea type player. And I don't think we have the players to play that system you have to very disciplined and really understand your roles and you have to have very very fit and strong wing backs. Ange is blaming the players I hear but a coach has to play the formation that suits your team, the conditions and bests suits who you are playing against. Im not sure Ange got that right last night.

Kruse is rubbish...he is no better than Mabil, Goodwin, and even young Borrello. I've seen enough to say he isn't fit to wear the shirt.

I dont know if we have the players to play wing backs in a 3-4-3. To p;lay that role you need to have strong defensive skills as wel, which neither Kruse or Leckie have. Last night he tried to convert two players who are simply attacking wide players into roles they clearly not suited for. To be fair Leckie defended way better than Kruse. Hopefully this experiment is put away. Brad clearly has the engine for the wing back role but disposal after coming on was poor as well.

That pitch must have been a nightmare to play on - players seemed to struggle to keep their feet and change direction quickly. Then there was the ball bobbling all the time as it rolled. Hence why the ball was off the ground more than usual.

I actually thought both teams did well to play some good stuff at times on that pitch.

We were very lucky again to get a draw the same as the Thailand away game.

I suppose we didn't lose these games and we now have 3 home games that we have to get good results in.
