The Ashes tour 2015
Just setting things up in readiness.
Aussie coaching their mob should be a laugh, but at least make it more competitive and interesting all the same.
Score, hard to tell, BUT Aussies WILL win it and retain the trophy.

Part and parcel of the game
The English approach to ideas is not to kill them, but to let them die of neglect.

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Should be an interesting series - not sure Australia will do it as easy as they would like to think but they should win. If England do get the upper hand we will at least see very little mention of any cricket on the forums and Australia can go back to pretending they don't play cricket again like this time a couple of years ago

I thought only Sybil Fawlty's special "mastermind" subject was the bleedin' obvious.God is an Englishman wrote:What's so funny?Bomber wrote:Old Redback wrote:Should be an interesting series - not sure Australia will do it as easy as they would like to think but they should win. Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Just been speaking to a convict friend of mine who doesn't have the Aussie bias and plays a very high standard of the game.
He thinks that Smith's record in England will see him fail in this series and return an average under 20 for the series.

Can I confirm you mean Steve Smith?God is an Englishman wrote:Just been speaking to a convict friend of mine who doesn't have the Aussie bias and plays a very high standard of the game.

What do you think he'll do?

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Yes, I think he'll average significantly higher than that. His record in England might not be great but best batsmen in the world at the moment.Slinky_Pete wrote:Can I confirm you mean Steve Smith?God is an Englishman wrote:Just been speaking to a convict friend of mine who doesn't have the Aussie bias and plays a very high standard of the game.

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
He's only ever played in an away Ashes Series once, so it's a pretty low base. An average of 38 isn't the worst thing in the world.God is an Englishman wrote:Yes, I think he'll average significantly higher than that. Should easier match that at least.

Surely even the convicts aren't that stupid.

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
My team (first test anyway):
Warner
Rogers
Smith
Clarke
Voges
Watson
Haddin
Johnson
Starc
Hazelwood
Lyon
12th Marsh/Harris
I'd normally have Harris in, but maybe needs a bit more match time so Hazelwood just in front of him for me and if Watson doesn't perform, Marsh in for second test as straight swap.
Your England team, hawkesy?

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
England have named their squad for the 1st test. As above (minus KP obviously) plus Finn and Rashid.

Irrelevant. One found guilty and punished. The others not guilty so not hard to figure out.God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:One taking a dodgy headache tablet and the others not guilty. So much for a "history of drug cheats"

Not guilty , all that shows is more cover ups from Australian sport.Bomber wrote:Irrelevant. One found guilty and punished.
