the fans love it and it really builds the atmosphere up before the first bounce
doesnt quite compare to the crows giving a lap of honour to a flag that says '19th man' though. that really gets the nannas with their homemade crows scarfs out of their seats
I literally spat out my coffee when I read this!
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. That's why I succeed." -Michael Jordan
This one makes me laugh, the Crows are set to reward one of their supporters this week for being the 1,000,000 AFL fan through the revamped Adelaide Oval but wait for it Port rewarded one of their supporters yesterday for being the 1,000,000 fan because they have included the 29K that attended the last AFL at the Adelaide Oval (Port V Melbourne)
It is probably hard for umpires to remember the best 3 after the game especially with so much going on.
As for the crowds, well good on the crows for having the best supporters. It was great to see a full house yesterday to see off one of their club legends.
the afl have once again screwed over a SA team by making the Power change their normal guernsey after finishing higher than richmond, albeit they came out late last night and said they can wear the prison bar guernsey, seriously the afl should change its name back to the VFL and be done with
They honestly didn't deserve to be there. Crows had a harder run and IMO crows and west coast were better this season.
Great first half though which allowed us to take the foot of the gas and prepare for next game.

How can you possibly say that with a straight face? You do know Richmond beat Adelaide in Adelaide? Conclusive proof if ever there was apart from winning more games.

and richmond managed to win more than 1 game in a row... crows were dismal considering our playing list.

Richmond 9-0 run: st. Kilda, brisbane, port (in the middle of their slump), west coast, GWS, Essendon, crows, saints (again), sydney who didn't try.
Richmond were poor and had a considerably easy run to the finals.
Adelaide Oval must be happy Port are doing well this season.
Crows have a good or bad season; they fill out the stadium.
Port have a good season, they fill out the stadium.
Port have a bad season, stadium is half full.
I wonder if this will continue to happen now that it's at AO instead of footy park.

West Lakes is closer to the Port, so you'd think it would make little difference.

But all the teal seats around AAMI Stadium made it feel like a Crows home ground!

Understandable that you would sound deluded as I imagine you are probably a Liverpool fan as well. Richmond beat the teams that they played (over which they had no choice) on that run, Crows failed to beat the teams they played - as a result Richmond played finals and the Crows dis not because they did not win enough games - seriously how hard is that to understand. Would you like Liverpool to be given the PL title for last year? Using your argument they may not have come first but they had a crack and they came close, they had some good players and surely that makes them better and deserved winners even though they couldn't beat the teams they need to beat.
Port deserve their sport for playing great footy and showing a resilience that some teams - most notably Adelaide - can only dream of at the moment. They will give Hawthorn a fright as well.

Actually the afl draw is easier on some teams as opposed to others. In epl, each team plays each other twice so the draw is fair. I don't give a shiraz if crows make the finals. I hate them with a passion however I can easily point out that they along with west coast had a tougher draw and the easy draw helped richmond.
Not sure what you think my argument is but the afl draw is easier on some teams compared to others.
Its getting to the stage where teams may play each other only once (regular season), and maybe extend the finals beyond the current format. Not sure about how exactly but they were discussing it on Fox-footy last night.
