Balotelli to Liverpool

Post by N5 1BH »

Liverpool apparently will sign Balotelli for 16M quid

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28878088

Get rid of one nutter sign another, do you think Rodgers knows what he is in for. There must be less risky options around for that price

Questionable signing not because of his talent but because of his behaviour. If he can get his act together, I think he could be a great asset for Liverpool. Time will tell.

More harm than good. They should focus on Lavezzi, Cavani and Falcao. Proven goal scorers and not as eccentric.

Fair point. Such a strange decision though.

Got him for a good price (should the deal go through). A smart move by LFC to put a behaviour clause in his contract as well. If he accepts that and passes his medical he will be in a red shirt this season.

sounds like a lose, lose situation. Milan lost a draw card for only 16 million and liverpool gain a nutter!

Pirlo reckons Balotelli is less of a fruitcake these days. Hope he's right. At only 18m, I think he's well worth the risk. Kind of crazy money considering we're looking to offload Borini for 14m.

Take him. Without Suarez now, the edge seems off. Worth the risk for me. Can we get him before the Man City game?

Although Balotelli is childish, but I think he will be more mature after all those things. He can improve to be an excellent striker. For Liverpool, it's worth to sign Balotelli in that price.

Don't bond this signing. If we can get 10-15 goals out of him, I'll take it. We need a nutcase to replace Suarez.

bottle of shiraz immense signing.

Sanchez? Costa? boring. overpriced.

Balotelli? seriously? the only better signing is Ibrahimovic.

Falcao? Cavani? they'll be yesterdays news in no time.

Balotelli has been around 'forever' and he's 24. one of the hottest young players in the world.

Superstar. Liverpool sign an already proven Superstar for the first time in ages!

YNWA Mario Balotelli! Welcome to the greatest club in the world!

It's funnier that united haven't signed any CB's or DM's
Someone should've warned Di Maria that he will have Cleverly and Young as team mates.

Not really considering the trouble he has caused at every club he has been at.

He's cheap for a reason!

Cantona went pretty cheap didn't he?

You're right though, with his ability and success if he didn't have a screw loose he would be going for 4 times the amount that has been mooted as a fee.

What trouble is that exactly? I only know (although don't know how much is believable) of his off-field antics, he can't put a bib on and a stupid pirouette back-heel in pre-season with Citeh

I think BR would have had a long, long chat with Balo prior to even coming close to a medical. Pretty sure SG would have been on the phone too. Pretty sure no one has scored more goals in Seria A over the last 18 months than Balo.
This could be a fantastic piece of business. Gives us all sorts of options, and the opposition a lot more to worry about.
Those from Arsenal and Man U laughing... you both signed/signing midfield players for so much more, and yet haven't replaced your club captains who have both left, and happen to be CB. Think the first 2 games of the current season have shown where you should have spent your money. Sign Hummels, or Giorgio Chiellini, then you may have a back line you can start to build a title on. Hell, Agger is for sale if you want him...

Hahahaha, what a load of w@nk. You know BR and Stevie G personally? Could you please tell me how long the long long chat was? Was it just business they discussed or they discuss the recent weather forecast?

Arsenal have 4 points from 2 games, pretty happy with that considering we look far from our sharpest.

So you're saying a manager in a business doesn't interview a potential future employee?

Are you sure you're not at your sharpest? Do you know the players and Wenger personally? Maybe a comeback 2-2 draw is as good as Arsenal are this year?

Bit touchy there Derek. Do you honestly feel you don't need a top defender and holding mid to properly challenge for the title instead of the "trophy" of being in the top 4?

Far from out Sharpest, in fact I watched both games and we were poor. We do need a DM and another striker in my opinion. Take a look at last years final table and check out the goals against tally, only Chelsea, Everton and City conceded less. Take away our two horror results (man city and Liverpool) we were extremely solid.
