Gerrard quits England

Post by Fact Hunt »

Reports out of UK say he has retired - assume he got tap on the shoulder. Right thing for England to move on and start afresh. Great servant who never replicated his club form in an England jersey unfortunately but this is the right move.

Agree, great player for his club undoubtedly but never showed thesame consistently in an england shirt unfortunately. I expect the red blinkered scousers will disagree but they were never ones for objectivity were they?

Must have done something right to play over 100 games.......
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. That's why I succeed." -Michael Jordan

^ :clown: don't get so defensive.

Used to be a fantastic player, age is catching up with him. Was one of England's least effective players at the last 2 tournaments.

This thread is about Gerrard not Rooney.
Whats wrong with you?
Its either indigestion or this forum, and I hope its indigestion
Why?
Because at least I know that will get better in a little while

Doubt he would have got the tap on the shoulder. Just wants to focus on Liverpool in his latter stages of his career

$tevie Me did exactly what I expected him to do. Has David Beckham ever retired from international football?

More time to hang around digging the sounds in local pubs.
Time for some righteous indignation
