Re: IS PORT POWER becomng the bigger club!
On-field, the Crows list is statistically better:
http://www.afc.com.au/news/2013-12-09/c ... -stacks-up
http://www.afc.com.au/news/2014-02-06/c ... set-to-fly
Off-field, they may appear better run, but the proof is in the pudding. Take away Port's grants from last season and they make a $5m loss. Those grants aren't going to be forthcoming in 2014.
Port have one good year, and all of a sudden they are the next coming of Jesus.

Crows statistically better on-field but finished below us and lost both showdowns...
To be fair I would say both teams performance-wise are pretty even. Off-field, the Power are closing the gap at a rapid pace

Where was this thread last year then, if you are worried about history? 2008-2012 were poor years for Port. 2013, they have an "up" year (while still posting a greater loss than the Crows), but now they are brilliant at everything.
If Port was a proper business, they'd be insolvent by now.

You'd think if adelaidebloke was a real Port fan, he'd know they don't like to be called Port Power.

I may be biased but ports core group is young and has a lot of talent in it. We are definitely closing the gap to the crows. I really think that this group of elite players we currently have are good enough to lead us to Premiership glory in the next 3-4 seasons.

2 years ago is history.
History doesn't have to be 100+ years long.
We weren't stealing history. Not once did we claim to be anything other than the Crows (est 1990).

Re: IS PORT POWER becomng the bigger club!
don't know about being the 'bigger' club, unless your comparing them to the 'Magpies'...(ohhh, they don't exist anymore, the new franchise has stolen their identity)
but, if I was a power player, id be hating on Kochie right now because everyone in Adelaide is going to want to know who my associates are...game on, get your cameras out the next time youre out....
this will turn ugly one way or another, maybe not now but soon enough....

I stand corrected, you're the expert on this. Is sticking your finger in a dyke a sport? I have a friend who plays softball who I reckon could do well in that sport?ruud wrote:Clog racing is not a sport.God is an Englishman wrote:What's cricket got to do with this, stick to clog racing.

Liar! As if you have friends.
I'm sorry do you have a point or is this just another attempt to take to thread off topic?

Pretty strong sauce that if Gibbs comes back to Adelaide, he will pick Port and not the Crows. Port have been in his ear for 2 years. If he doesn't sign a new contract with Carlton by May, I reckon he is gone.
Port are definitely catching up to the fruit tingles the way they operate off the field.

Port have been in his ear... and the Crows havn't been? Considering Eddie Betts and Sauce Jacobs are ex team mates of his, i wouldn't rule us out.LFTWNG11 wrote:Pretty strong sauce that if Gibbs comes back to Adelaide, he will pick Port and not the Crows. I have a friend who knew him when he was here and he told them that he hates Adelaide and would never play for them. Of course, that could be until the right offer comes along.
