SAASL Reserve Cup - Round 3

West Beach ( 1 ) Para Hills East ( 2 )

Got to this game late, well into the first half with the score at 1-1 and there seemed to be very little seperating the two sides up to half time.
The introduction of a keen Chris Saggs gave East a little more grunt in midfield and a few chances were created by both sides throughout the half.
Late in the second half it took a miss-timed clearance by West Beach to get the ball passed the experienced Maurice Hewson to give Para Hills East the lead at 2-1.
A telling save in the dying minutes by East's keeper kept them in front until the final whistle sounded.

As much as he would have loved to be involved Sunday, that Saggs isn't Andy, it's the slightly more rotund (and all round better bloke) brother Chris having his first run this year. Don't worry even a couple of our young blokes who haven't met him before didn't believe it wasn't Andy for a bit!!!

You are right though bossed the midfield in the second half. Great to see him back out and playing.

I actually played in goal against West Beach Reserves last year and Knights won 4-5...memorable game for me.
