The home side began the game with urgency and with many good passages of play pushing Florina onto the back foot.
Southern Knights grabbed the lead early through Tom Foglia and had a goal disallowed soon after for a challenge on Florina's keeper.
Florina managed an equaliser from a long (wind assisted) clearance from Jamie Hart, despite an attacker running at Knights keeper Stephen Maguire
as he waited under the ball. Both teams had to endure howling winds and driving rain for many periods throughout the game.
However, after the break Florina, mainly through some excellent stops from Hart, kept a very frustrated Knights goal-less in the second half and were able to break through Knights defence twice to take all 3 points.
