India v Australia - test series

Post by Bomber »

Big test for our spinners and good warm up for some of our quicks. Batting order still looks awry - agree with Ian Chappell and that Watto should open instead of going in at 4.
Can see a 1-1 series coming up, with two draws.

showing your inferioirity complex there, no ones mentioned England and I'm the first England supporter to comment. I would say the first Englishman but Bacon888 beat me to do that.

Why only give 6 overs out of 52 overs bowled to the bowler who has taken your only 3 wickets of the innings ? what's the go there....Pattinson, did he break down ?

Cant believe the state of the pitch, even on day one it made me laugh. Roland Garros isnt as dusty-red as that wicket.

Some poor fielding by the Aussies in that last session.

And this applies to nearly all modern day cricketers, but what is it with getting a drink, change of gloves every few overs these days? Dont they have drinks sessions for that? Dhoni was getting "refreshed" virtually every second over and I'm surprised that Clarke didnt have a word about it (assuming he didnt). I did notice one of the umps letting Dhoni know about it later on, as it was getting ridiculous, but I wont be surprised if others do similar as the game goes on. Where do you draw the line is the question.

a mate of mine who really knows his cricket was making some amusing comments along the lines of how rubbish a skipper clarke is. He can't stop the singles, the 2's or the boundaries and hasn't got a clue on how to stop Dhoni.

I haven't watched any of this test, but do you agree?

He needs to stop bowling Lyon so much and the run flow would at least lessen naturally. Even Warney joked how he couldnt believe they went it with 3 quicks and one spinner (and an all-rounder who bowls medium/quick). England did the same in their first test and lost. Then they brought in Panesar at the expense of a quick to assist Swann and bingo, won the next two.

McCullum, B. was just the same in the third ODI against England.

The Aussies will struggle all series. This will be a comfortable win for India.
