Ask to see the person's coaching certificate (or licence card in FFA's case). It will either have a date of issue or expiry date and you can use that to work out whether their qualifications are valid.

Clubs don't get coaches without one, especially senior coaches. Just another way for some nosey parents to put their 2 cents in if a coach isn't "performing"?

There are usually 14 sets of parents per team that know more about coaching, tactics, technique and what positions a kid should play than the coach? The most highly qualified coach knows nothing according to them, even though the coach spend his money and time learning, developing his skills and attending courses.

simple way is to ask them to show their badges. Every FFA licensed coach has a coaching card that details their quals
