Marcelo Carrusca Joins Vipers FC

Post by Vipersfcinfo »

We are very pleased to announce that with immediate effect ex Adelaide United star player and fans favourite Marcelo Carrusca has joined Vipers FC as its Football Director.

Marcelo as Football Director will oversee all levels of the club’s football program from the very youngest of our Miniroos through to the senior first team. The club will be adopting the Carrusca Training Methodology.

He will be working with the club technical directors and coaching staff to provide a program that sees children, youths and young adults from our community developing their football and life skills. The program will be based on the shared philosophies of Vipers FC and the Carrusca Football Academy to develop players based on respect, discipline, teamwork and sacrifice but remembering this game is about having fun.

Club President Adrian Moore said “we have been getting to know Marcelo for the past few months, and likewise Marcelo getting to know us, to build a relationship and to work through how we can best connect his already successful academy program with the club. It is very exciting to have someone of the calibre of Marcelo at the club and I am very much looking forward to working with him to achieve great things going forward”

Watch out for upcoming announcements around our school holiday program; our junior trials for 2021 (set to occur week beginning 12th October); and our Summer Academy.

Not sure why continual need for negativity - this is a high class international professional football player who has chosen to make Adelaide his home - his academy is high standard - his football methodology is refreshing and makes sense - he fits with Vipers as we don’t have decades of restrictive egos at the club and we are not built from an ethnic background - this is not about highest bidder but genuine development and want to make a difference in how Australian juniors enjoy football - if 2 years only the so be it and we will always be grateful for that - but I think these negative persons don’t know Marcelo and don’t know Vipers

good point Vipersfcinfo , at least your club is trying to improve the juniors for the future . 1or 2 years or even more will benefit those players . i know of some junior clubs doing nothing but want top fees , and you can see as they keep advertising for players to fill teams

This Wednesday 16th December at 6:30pm (arrive 15 mins prior please for registration) St Clair Oval, off Woodville Road (behind rec centre) Woodville we encourage players to attend for under 18 trials

Genuine development environment, we would like players turning 15 or 16 next year to attend. Under our Football Director Marcelo Carrusca we will develop players 15 to 18 toward playing first team football at Football SA level.

Those more ambitious and with the talent to match we have the connections to help you achieve this in a realistic ‘managing expectations’ environment based on experience.
