Where to send Juniors in 2021

Post by SAM33 »

Hey,

I'd love some help and advice on figuring out where to send my son next year.

There's alot of overpromising and underdelivering from clubs and I don't want to make that same mistake again next season.

I'd personally choose by going around and watching coaches, I think the coach is no1 in development but you may not even get that coach, people leave, move clubs etc. so it feels a bit pointless.

Whos leading the way in player development, coaching development, club facilities, community?

He's 10 currently playing in U12s JSL

Help!

If you are serious about him getting into a development system as a career plan then I would suggest emigrating to any other FIFA listed country. Else join him up to your local club where he is likely to make friends and see what fate brings

i would have to agree, he is 10 yrs old, pick a club and let him make friends and enjoy it. if you want to push him more, have a look at one on one coaching as a separate thing. At 10 he should be enjoying team sport.

You are spot on about going around and watching coaches, that’s a great call. I’ve seen some horrific coaches this season and it has nothing to do with developing the players.

We aren’t all the most amazing coaches ever, but some of these clowns are vicariously living through these kids and making them miserable.

Yep, I've seen some horrible behaviour and screaming from coaches throughout the season. That definitely helped weed some clubs out.

I'd love some help and advice on figuring out where to send my son next year.
how about the following in no particular order;
  • the park
    the back yard
    the street
