Aussie Rules Junior Fees
Channeling John Dedes tonight...
A local club just released their fees for their juniors for 2019;
https://bit.ly/2QEwQEZ
Once the $100 sports voucher has been applied (if applicable);
Under 8's: Free
Under 10's: $70
Under 12's: $70
Under 14's: $70
Under 16's: $170
A nearby soccer club charges about $1,000 more.
Rather interesting insight i thought. Soccer fees going in one direction while Aussie Rules continues to be the more affordable option.

Re: Aussie Rules Junior Fees
FFSA affiliation, team and player fees would exceed those fees in itself.Wraith wrote:Channeling John Dedes tonight...

Re: Aussie Rules Junior Fees
Great idea under 8's free.
From there the kids would get into the club based system and more likely continue thru the grades.
As a parent that has been thu both sports I do find kids in Aussie Rules don't club hop as much.

Re: Aussie Rules Junior Fees
My son played footy for a year and the team he was in was tasked with raising its own funds via fundraising to help out with costs associated to his team. Doesn’t happen at our Fed club.Redflag1 wrote:Australian Rules clubs don't have the same fees?Pie and Bovril wrote:if it all goes to the seniors then who pays for:convert34 wrote:I have seen the books of our club it all goes to the seniors.

And Aussie rules is still played on grass, yet we are told grass is more expensive to maintain.

Agree, is that from AFL? if so, our problems come from FFA not supporting juniors?Bomber wrote:The handouts local footy clubs get, this is no surprise.

AFL and all forms of government (therefore ratepayers and taxpayers). At least with AFL some funds trickle down to grass roots, unlike our sport.Back for Christmas wrote:Agree, is that from AFL? if so, our problems come from FFA not supporting juniors?Bomber wrote:The handouts local footy clubs get, this is no surprise.

not forgetting discriminatory local councils who bend over backwards for their sport and put up every road block when is comes to ours.Bomber wrote:AFL and all forms of government (therefore ratepayers and taxpayers). FFSA & FFA are a minor part of the cost and a justified one . Our juniors would turn a profit if it wasn't for the football prostitute's that wont even hang around for a beer or take a junior training

Be careful Convert , you make sense, but get ready for a backlash from the prostitutes, crooks and wannabes that seem to represent the typical local football environment.convert34 wrote:FFSA & FFA are a minor part of the cost and a justified one . Legends in their lunchtimes.
Re: Aussie Rules Junior Fees
How much sport sponsorship $$$ do footy clubs get Vs our clubs? So NPL is the equivalent of SANFL. I would imagine that SANFL clubs get much more money from sponsors than most NPL clubs.
If we got more sponsorship $$$$ to.pay for the seniors then junior fees could reduce. But for that you need TV and media exposure week in week out.
