Do we have a lot of this going on here?...or are families just looking for best options for their son/daughter?

It's not so much the parents, its the coaches. While the players want to win the game they don't really look at the league table. Watch a team after a loss and you'll see the players laughing and joking 5 minutes after the game. Some coaches out here really, really care where the are on the league table.

I think it depends on the kids. Some are more relaxed and don't focus on results, while others are highly competitive and regardless of the coach or parents they will always be wanting to win and looking at the ladder if there is one.

While parents should try to be more loyal to clubs, clubs also need to be loyal to kids who want to stay for the long term.
