Junior Results.....

Post by geoff9559 »

Can anyone advise why there are so many 'postponed' matches or even changes to games that are happening in the junior pools? One moment there's a result and next there's none and the tables for some pools the lead is changing daily as game results are up and then removed .......

I am guessing there might be a lack of Refs and therefore teams not wanting to go ahead without the 'neutral' Ref in place......might be something else but if anyone knows or can advise that would be appreciated.

Cheers

This weekend was a combination of Orthodox Easter and the GF. FFSA cancelled all fixtures post 12 o' clock.

Guidelines at the begging of the Season were that home clubs have to supply referees if one is not scheduled. There is obviously a shortage but clubs have to supply a replacement to prevent postponement.

The frustrating thing is that this Season teams are not entering results and it is a mess. Some team managers are not bothering.

The administration of Junior football by the FFSA is getting worse. I queried one of our clubs scores that had been removed. It is still shown without a score and has not been registered on the table. The response from the FFSA was that it doesn't matter. If they are not bothering to record the scores then why bother having the website? You may as well just list the fixtures. It also begs the question that what happens at the end of the season with promotion/relegation if half the games are not listed. Maybe next Season is the time they align with the seniors, hence the lackadaisical attitude to recording scores.

School holidays is another reason why games have been postposed. Too many kids away.

Also, quite deliberate by some teams (their coaches & team managers) not putting up their scores and goal scorers.

Admin has gone backwards. It's basically a free for all. Any player can play for any age group, clashing numbers and even different kits where players turn up from different age groups. Nobody knows what is going on and the FFSA don't care as long as they get the $$$
