Trial Games

Post by Rookie »

looking at the weather forecast for this Sunday it's looking like all games will be cancelled this weekend, second week in a row for the mini roos as well

I know this has been discussed previously but yesterday morning up to around 12pm the weather was perfect for football, at this rate the mini roos will be lucky to play any trial games in February

they don’t start until April and it’s the miniroos, do they really need trial games?

It's always nice to have a couple of run outs to work on stuff in training. Sure there are "no scores" on mini roos but you can bet 100% all the kids know what the score was so they see a difference between a trial and the season even if FFA try to pretend otherwise

don't think our miniroos are even training yet.

Try telling the kids that, agree there is no difference between a trial game and the season proper but what i do know is that kids love playing

The forecast changed to 30 at 4:30pm. They make the call on Friday morning (48 hours before).

Clubs are run by volunteers. Im sure Comets would have loved the day to go ahead but they also need a line in the sand to make a call.

Not everyone that runs a club wants to sit watching BoM on Sunday morning so they can make 150 phone calls

i get that and no doubt Comets would have been pissed off on the loss of revenue, instead of 48 hours why not make it 24???
