Is Van Persie the best technical striker in world football for kids to watch??
His balance.
His skill.
His awareness.
His technical ability to fool defenders & remain calm under pressure.
Left foot, right foot or the head all the same ability.
crosses the ball from left or right wing & always finds a team mate in the box.
Is this guy the best striker going around at the moment?
Is a more complete striker than this going around at the moment?

It's hard for me to judge whether he is the best. Let's put it this way, if I had a choice of players to pick, he'd be up there.EnzoG wrote:Is Van Persie the best technical striker in world football for kids to watch??

Messi is better. Suarez is also pretty good, afterall he does score at the hardest of away grounds, like Carrow Road.
Also no one always always finds a team mate in the box, John Terry does find the box a lot, both home and away.
And you make it sound like a job advert, remaining calm under pressure.
bales balance is far better, the way he is hacked and stays upright amazes me.

IMO, the best striker by a country mile at the moment is Cavani from Napoli. The space he creates for his team-mates, the timing of his runs, his goal awareness in the box are fantastic - not to mention his superior speed and athleticism. And he needs to do it against arguably tougher defences too.

I agreed with you right up to the bit where you said "against tougher defences" yes you said arguably... and yes i would argue that point.Zidane05 wrote:IMO, the best striker by a country mile at the moment is Cavani from Napoli. What I would say is that Van Persie has a better team behind him than Cavani does at Napoli, and that is why I feel he is a better option (along with all the other factors you pointed out) for kids to watch.
From what I've seen on RVP at Feyenoord/Arsenal/Man U, Cavani has a better attitude overall and doesn't struggle for motivation when things are going poorly.
It's all relative though, based on the kid who is watching. The striker to watch is one that suits their technical/physical capabilities.
Alan Shearer, Ian Rush, Ronaldo(Brazilian), Marco Van Basten, Theirry Henry, Ruud Van Nistlerooy, these are the strikers I would tell players to watch as they very is strengths and weaknesses. It would also depend on what type of defences you are playing against as to how the striker would be best suited to play.

Man City paid $900 million for the title last season.
Arsenal gave Man U the title for $24 million this season ......RVP
