u15A's
Raiders 7-0 Birkalla
What happened with Man Utd Cup winners ..... not having a dig, just cant believe the result was so one-sided against a very good team ?

Re: round 2 results
these skillaroo scores are becoming ridiculous, i know its supossed to be for development but what can you get out of getting belted every week.... i havent seen them play but can anyone give a bit of an explanation of whats going on???

Good luck getting a real honest reply to this.
Personally I think these same players would develop just the same at their original clubs and would enjoy it more than 8 plus losses week after week.
I feel for these kids, what happens at the end of the year when they no longer have a team or club?
Where are the 2011 Skillaroos?
How many went onto the U/14 development squad? (Not many cos they are asking for nominations)
It would be very interesting to see the data of where are they now, did they get a spot back in their old team, did they stay on etc.

3-4 nights a week with the best kids in their age group trained by a professional full time coach, compared to 2 nights with their club coach ?AL K HOLIC wrote:rossonero wrote:these skillaroo scores are becoming ridiculous, i know its supossed to be for development but what can you get out of getting belted every week.... i havent seen them play but can anyone give a bit of an explanation of whats going on???

The scores are not an indication of the way they are playing and being taught.rossonero wrote:these skillaroo scores are becoming ridiculous, i know its supossed to be for development but what can you get out of getting belted every week.... i havent seen them play but can anyone give a bit of an explanation of whats going on???
Similar scenario to last year, by seasons end they will be winning some games and very competitive.
I think the parents and players will be looking at the bigger picture.
Some people tell me that we professional players are soccer slaves. Well, if this is slavery, give me a life sentence.

Re: round 2 results
It is still early and the boys have played some decent teams so far, let's be fair. However if the skillaroos can't beat the bottom 4 finishing sides, maybe this team should be in the Bs not the As. I agree it is not about winning but it sure is not about losing, what is the point of having all this skilled training to pass the ball around if they can't get it.Željko Jurin wrote:3-4 nights a week trained by a professional full time coach, compared to 2 nights with their club coach ?AL K HOLIC wrote:rossonero wrote:these skillaroo scores are becoming ridiculous, i know its supossed to be for development but what can you get out of getting belted every week.... i havent seen them play but can anyone give a bit of an explanation of whats going on???

Score is irrelevant..its just not the measureing stick for how theyre travelling that the coaches would use....they will be learning.AL K HOLIC wrote:rossonero wrote:these skillaroo scores are becoming ridiculous, i know its supossed to be for development but what can you get out of getting belted every week.... i havent seen them play but can anyone give a bit of an explanation of whats going on???

A young skillaroos squad too...many born latter half of year...Means Relative Age Effect (RAE)Even more noticeable.
Very early days for them too...only beginning of April!..let's see how they play come October and the improvements between now & then... Be patient rossonero
