This stuff just brings back bad old memories at School.
Playing soccer on the Primary School netball court and a Teacher saying you cannot play with the round ball on the court, Anglo background school children calling us wog ball lovers, calling us every unsavoury name under the clouds.
But guess what happened? I have conveyed this story before .
A teacher comes up to us wog kids and says we need Footy players to fill in the school side. We said Sir they are calling us names and picking fights with us. The teacher promised no more fights.
Reluctantly we joined got Thursday afternoon off school to play footy because of us in the side we started winning and we all became friends.
But we still got picked on for wearing low cut soccer boots on the footy park.
Now all AFL players Wear these types of boots today.

I would rather have my VK covered in lard and horse manure than suffer through reading these painfully brain dead politics of the past.

I'm well thanks, PPG. How are you struggling?

Nothing wrong with wanting to see Croydon Kings Polonia in their traditional colours instead of chicken-sh*t yellow. Their many junior supporters at the Cup Final yesterday were in their red-and-white.

Nothing wrong with wanting to see the Cup Final played @ Hindmarsh.

Nothing wrong with still having it still called it's traditional name - the Federation Cup Final.
When the Cup Winners Cup was still being held in Europe the various countries still referred to their domestic cup as that, not a qualifier to the Cup Winners Cup, even though it usually was unless they had won both domestic league & cup. eg, FA Cup, Coppa Italia etc. Same parallel here.

Polska Bomber, your comments please.

I laugh at some of the inward thinking comments from Adelaide Town posted.

Repeat: There is plenty of Greek and Macedonian background money in Melbourne a world city not a town to put three more A League soccer sides with ethnic names back into the A- League.
The Melbourne Macedonian soccer community that use to follow Preston is mega and mega rich. Frank should take note. My Dads first cousin the late John Zikos use to be president of the club in the 1980's.

The same with SMH and Heidelberg.

Players my cousin Jim Batsanis played with at Heidelberg were,
Theo Salamidis
Gary Cole
Jim Tansy
Etc
Sorry for the spelling

Furthermore: Nathan Batsanis a Norwood premiership SANFL player and past Power rookie is Jim's nephew. The family has connections to Peter Daikos the Collingwood legend.
All have parental roots from Greek Macedonia from the Florina and Vevi region in Northern Greek Macedonia.

Pathetic comment again.
Read some Greek History?
In northern Greece especially around Florina there are plenty of Macedonian speaking villages eg Vevi.

Here in Adelaide Town Salisbury Florina SC the longest continual Greek background soccer club in Adelaide, longer then WAH, WAH2, Olympic etc the people behind it are Greek origin but speak Macedonian.
On my mothers side many first cousins speak Macedonian, her father did, the same on my fathers side. On my fathers side they speak Albanian as well as I do.
We are Greeks. Obviously not southerners.

Is there a language called Macedonian?

People from the FYROM don't speak Greek yet they call themselves Macedonian. Alexander the Great was Macedonian but from what I can tell, he's associated with Greece and all things Hellenic unless of course they invented last names that end in ..off and ..ov
So the relatives of Alexander the Great speak anything else but Greek. Surely not
