bring back ethnic names of clubs and the crowds will come sometimes you have to go back to move forward time to stop trying to get the aussie rules fans to our game.they will never come yes they will go socceroos games but only because australia is playing someone same as they go to cricket games when australia plays.i have tried many times to get my work mates to go to a game with me no chance at all they just laugh at me

You really think it's just the name that will do it? I'd be staggered if that were the case, I always thought it was more a community thing where most of the players came from within the community and all the supporters knew each other etc.

You're a bloody moderator. How about moderating him off the board for a month or two?

What a silly response and attack on me.
It just shows how I know to start important debate about real topics of concern in our game.

Didn't WA2 start using Hellas for the last year or 2.
How about Adelaide Croatia Raiders SC.
both have the ethnic motifs.
Crowds have dropped for these clubs.
Must be time for a new excuse.

Drove past AU's training ground in Elizabeth the other day.
Looked good.
Why not build a AU game Stadium there as well.
AU in the North.
Then new Hal second team based in the city?

The highlight for us all should be De Amicis 55min goal in the win against Western Samoa.

dear AUFF fans. Your owner won't be happy.

He's trying to get a better deal for your franchise such that he can sell it.
Who in their right mind would want to buy the AUFF loss leader?

My answer simple.

A True story:
When Lucas Pantelis played for AC NSL I use to go and watch him play . I did not support AC.
His late father and mother did the same.

When Edson Anon came out and played for Juve, when I could not go and watch Hellas I tried following if Juve were playing nearby.
I got the info in these days as a Primaty School lad from the Newspaper.
AU at present and a history of it has lost the community engagement plot .

By my observations;
The control of the game is more important than youth development and local grass roots club sustainability.
The game has been won by the controllers and local clubs are slaves to the master.
That is why junior fees are going up and up and money left over if that for junior player development is non existent.
Sorry just keep on paying the parents of ozz.

That comment says everything we need to know about you and your fellow trolls.

You all seem to think that you invented Football and that those of us who have been involved in the game for many decades have no right to have a viewpoint unless it agrees with yours.

You challenge our right to offer our experience and then accuse us of name dropping if we mention how we developed those views and where we got them from.

For a change why don't you listen to our views and debate them, not put them down and offer no positive alternative. :?:
The older I get the better I was.
