I was hoping to see Metro vs Comets game on the w/end & unfortunately didn't eventuate but WOW are Metro that good?

Team line ups quite different from Round 1 to 2 for Metro and Comets due to Covid namely so have to put it all into context.

Thought I would watch NTC vs Inter match on npltv (once I worked it out ) I thought young girls played the better football.
Can someone explain to me why a team with a coach with credentials as long as his arm, has a team of very experienced players, yet they resort to play the long ball up the park to the same player who is always left unmarked, tries to beat everyone, and usually does.
Why play like that, instead of playing the football they are capable of ?
Did they panic being one nil down ? In the end it did help them pick up a very lucky point
Maybe it is early days and they will settle down and play the football they are capable of.
