Flinders United WFC

Post by philweb »

As much as I had my run-ins with Cumberland United Womens FC over the years, it is a sad day that they now no longer exist as a sole identity.

Sturt Marion (now playing as Cove Marion) and Cumberland were strong clubs.

I wish Flinders United WFC every success for the future.

I agree with your opening comment. Cumby is a sad example at what relegation can do to a club. Once relegated the ramifications are dire.

I am interested to read that the FSA are discussing the possibility of increasing the numbers in the WNPL. Not that I support poor premiers however, Fulham (possibly) and Uni (have been) cannot be relegated. There junior set up and seniors has bene set up over many years of hard work. Lets hope they both remain.
