Re: WNPL Round 3
Just looked at the team info for this week’s WNPL games on the FFSA website. Some good games with results for most games hanging in the balance.
Metro v Cumberland won’t be a big scoring affair. Cumby have shown that they can implement a dower defensive game that strangles the oppo to a low score.
Fulham v NTC game postponed. That would’ve bene one in the balance.
Salisbury v University very much a stalemate here with both sides equally matched but without Macca in goals, the pendulum has swung back to a draw.
West Adelaide v Adelaide City – Too close to call this one. Have Westies shown much to count them as favourites and title contenders? Wins against a newly promoted NTC and a depleted inexperienced Fulham doesn’t give much to work on as far as establishing their credentials for 2018. City’s wins have both been solid and against Metro, have signalled attacking and defensive force albeit round 2.
Forget Metro and their recruiting in the offseason. West Adelaide the quiet achievers have raided the Fulham cupboard and recruited 4 handy payers Macri, Der Bono, Burgess and Du Rieu. WOW. Plus Hodgson. K Mac has run his magiclured the players to his team with devastating effect.
Good luck to all the players and teams for tonight’s games.

Might want to delete your post then...otherwise the same effect. No pun intended and was no offence.

Re: WNPL Round 3
NTC v Fulham, an easy win will be awarded to the NTC squad, as NTC are a young side with many players only just meeting one another they required time to gel and become a strong team. It is evident from their previous performance they are rapidly understanding each other and will be a team to be reckoned with, they may be small but mighty. Heard rumours their striker has been injured with a second ACL injury which is why she has been unavailable the past few weeks, but number 7 is a strong player who takes her position with pride. Easily a 7-1 win to NTC

Re: WNPL Round 3
Cumby extremely well organised and tried picking Metro off on the Counter. I think Metro's movement was off tonight especially in the final 3rd.
Inter v Uni was a decent game with Uni edging it in the last 5 mins, too quick in transition. Inter looked like they ran out of legs, hope the Uni player who was taken away in an ambulance is ok

Re: WNPL Round 3
Can someone provide explanation on what the penalty against westies was about? I can only guess it was a player dropping herself in the penalty box? Hope not

Re: WNPL Round 3
Must have been the Jay Bus. Cumby are by no means easy beats. They have the flood well and truly down to an art form. When and if they get a really good forward (or two) they will cause carnage across the league. Maxy has them well drilled in the art of moving back into defence and then attack.

Re: WNPL Round 3
Ref made the correct call on this in my opinion. There did not appear to be much argument from the defender at the time

Maybe just have a look...it's important to judge each incident on its own merits...

Re: WNPL Round 3
I have no idea what the West player was thinking, a penalty for sure but absolutely no reason for the defender to go to ground.billy the kid wrote:Can someone provide explanation on what the penalty against westies was about? Well finished pen

Saw it and I agree. Penalty all day every day. Sadly the perpetrator hasn't refined het defending skills and hence the penalty.
