My Proposal to Lift the profile of women's football (soccer)

Post by billy the kid »

Just a thought of a better way to get much more media coverage in mainstream media in SA and possibly Australia for the W-League and of course the SA WNPL!!!
Instead of the PFA’s suggestion for a longer season, why not:

1) Cut it back to 7 rounds;
2) Free entry to all games at Hindmarsh stadium (or hat about Adelaide Oval)
3) Live coverage of games on free to air commercial TV including (wait for it) the coach post-match media conference
4) Publicise and promote players that have crossed over to football (soccer) from coin tossing, wind surfing, BMX riding, tennis, basketball, that have always wanted to play soccer
5) Contract the public relations and media hype to the AFL.

Just to name a few. I think I’m on a winner.
