Clubs That Will Not Meet The Criteria

Post by sportsbird »

Campbelltown and Salisbury Inter will not be able to meet the FFSA WNPL criteria in 2017.
FFSA are aware of it, but again will not act on it until the season commences.
These clubs will be allowed to remain in the WNPL league and will incur a fine and lose competition points as previously happened with Sturt Marion in 2016.
If the FFSA are serious in making the criteria work, they must include the State League to comply with the WNPL League in 2018.
It looks like an absolute farce again.

There are separate criteria for State League clubs...not the same as WNPL, which is as it should be.

Also, Sportsbird what about City- they were in such a shambles according to some of your earlier posts.... 8)

What are you basing that on Sportsbird, and which criteria exactly won't they meet?
I'm sure both clubs are working hard to meet the WNPL criteria as neither would wan't to lose points and put themselves under pressure before the season even starts.

Seriously who cares ? The criteria is unrealistic, merely an aiming point for clubs for the future.. what would you prefer a 5 team premier league??? Seriously. The changes made to the NPL are exciting and we should be supporting this. After 12 months with the standard of the State Leauge, if you weren't granted an NPL license for season 2017 you should not be in the NPL

Who cares?! the teams that do make the criteria but in FFSA wisdom haven't been granted a license as compared to some team that are in who won't make the criteria.
Yes the NPL is great but the rules for entry are clear make them or don't be in NPL if not a State League club that does fulfil them should come up.
NPL will still have a full complement of quality teams.

most or all clubs try to meet the criteria but in SA the expectations for the criteria are very difficult to meet for many clubs, and with the current success of the W AFL league it will become even harder to meet in the future. The concept is good but in reality there are limited junior and senior players available, especially in the U15 and U17 age group.
