Pay Dispute - Lady Reds
Rumours have it that the local W League Lady Red players are unhappy that overseas & interstate players are being looked after financially while the locals do not get paid.
I believe this issue will come to ahead after the completion of the season prior to the 2017 season.
If this is true, then I totally support the local players to push for some kind of financial income considering the money they invested in the FFSA Development squad.

Re: Pay Dispute - Lady Reds
Megabonus, Im not complaining as it doesn't affect me.
Just making people aware the issues currently developing.
I'm not sure why you even commented about my comment as you are more concerned about my comment rather than supporting our local players.
I am fully supportive of our local players and competition.
If you are supportive of interstate & overseas players over our local players, then that's your prerogative.

And it's back. After a small yet noticeable hiatus, it's bacm to complain again.

What are the local players going to do??? Boycott?? Not Play???
Unfortunately there is not alot they can do.... because if they refuse to play for not getting paid then AU will give the contract to the next player who is willing to play for nothing to get the chance to play in the w-League...
There is no money in Womens soccer unless you are a Matilda.
And from what Ive heard the interstaters are only getting rent for free, they still have to pay for everything else..
And as for the Internationals of course you have to pay them otherwise they wouldnt be here to play...
Even in the other states there are players that dont get any money for playing....
Im not saying its right, just the way it is right now....

Unretired, your response is completely logical and spot on.
But next time I suggest we not take the bait.

Happy to see the budget go to local coaches and players than B graders from elsewhere
Bring back Emma and the others to the Reds
Give opportunity to local players. It is local money paying for it. If opportunity is restricted then less benefit.
It is not a professional league it is a development league for Matildas which is the level that rewards can kick in

I'm thinking of going on strike in 18 months as the CEO of my company is paid more than me.
