Stirling back to back League and Cup

Post by Black Hawk »

Stirling Div 1 have done the back to back League and Cup double.

Needing a win in last nights catch up game to secure the league the Stirling girls came from 2 down to win 4-2 against a determined Adelaide University team whom had added support from Salisbury United who were hoping Uni won or drew so that the title would be theirs.

Stirling and Salisbury have had an intense and close rivalry over the past seasons with Salisbury United beating Stirling twice during this seasons league but dropping points elsewhere with Stirling only beating Salisbury on Cup final day to secured that trophy.

Congrats to Stirling, it was truly a game fitting of the calibre of D1.
