Maybe not, but after watching their latest "effort" I can't see who they may beat in the near future. Missing Merrett & Stringer (amongst others) big time.

You still to play Power, West Coast and North Melb there's three wins.

Why is it more stupid rules come in to ruin games? A player "gestures" amazement at a stupid umpiring decision, and it's 50 metre penalty?
I give up.
VAR ruining football, now AFL are hell bent on over-sanitising the game.
Punting going way up the ladder in my sporting interests these days.

Some of the 50m penalties they are giving now are an absolute joke. The umpires need to let the game flow more and be less involved not more involved like they are now.

I wonder if Brad Scott spoke to anyone including the umpires or was it a captains call. I can imagine Italian soccer players being penalised for throwing their arms in the air.

cant understand why the Crows gave Stengle away for nothing........no probs with standing him down and not playing him but why delist him and get nothing. 40+ goals per season from a specialist forward pocket is a big loss.....

2 drink driving charges and found with an illicit drug in one season would be a big reason to sack / axe / delist a player

i get that.......why did we delist him though and get nothing for him. By all means, lets get rid of him but get something in return....

or why would you keep him on your list and show your supporters that you have no issue with a repeat fellon

but the crows culture couldn't get any worse

  keep him on the list long enough to trade him and get something in return......my issue is getting nothing for him and Geelong have themselves a 40-50 goal a year forward for nothing

not sure how much clearer i can make it....

Who else have they delisted and been picked up elsewhere? Ed Curnow. Who is at Carlton. That's it (Tom Lynch retired and is only at Norf as a player to save money from coaching). The other 15 players were traded.

Who delisted Levi Casboult for free, and Suns picked him up for free and has kicked goals in every round.
The suns delisted Hugh Greenwood & Jarryd Lyons - who went to North/Brisbane for free.

Brisbane delisted Ben Keays & Mitch Hinge - free to Crows. Wow, it's a full circle now. It's as if it's a league wide practice.

Almost a quarter of the players on AFL lists have played at another club (24.4%)

I was more talking about the Crows losing players hand over first, obviously the culture at the club is not for one to stick around, look at Charlie Saturday night he ripped us a new one, Gunstan has been a thorn in our side every time we play the Hawks, the list goes on and on and one, and i get that there is a lot of turnover in the AFL but the Crows would be right up there is leading the pack

AFL crowds fell by more than 360,000 this season, despite 11 extra games. League figures released on Monday show finals attendances were also down, by 12 per cent. A total of 6,778,824 fans walked through the turnstiles at AFL venues, the lowest turnout since 2006.

From 2019 ( last full pre covid season)average crowds for two SA clubs

Year Adelaide Power

2019 44.5k 34k

2022 33.7k 27.8k

Drop 24% 18.2%

Yep its definitely a big issue with fall crowd in many sports. More people are relying on watching games on TV and or people are dropping off from watching altogether.

Not sure how this can be solved at this point, times are / have changing / changed.

Big Bash is the next one in the spotlight with CA really worried as crowd and ratings have dived significantly . With the next TV deal only two years away if the BBL fails to recover, CA could face significant drop in its next tv deal. This in turn will impact on players as contracts linked to revenue in the game.

The average AFL attendance for 2022 after 90 matches is 30,517, the smallest since 1996 when an average 29,637 went to games, according to AFL Tables. This year's figure is also well below the 2019 pre-pandemic average of 35,122 across the full season.

I'd be surprised if he stayed, even if Clarko doesn't come on board.
