Given the comment re "this millennium", bit rich given the football world cup had to be brought up to deflect? Were you even born then?
No, but it is another major sporting tournament we've won more recently than you. That said, I don't remember deflecting with that anyway.

Don't worry, you used to be a good sporting nation and I'm sure you will be again soon.
Was directed at toomy, but the shoe still fits.
and my comments stand. You can stop crying mate, you'll improve as a sporting nation soon. I truly believe that.
Haha, we aren't the ones crying, in fact still celebrating.

You and toomy however..........sob sob (try ripe grapes next time)

I think you know my feelings quite well on T20 cricket, so no, no sour grapes on my part.

I watched half a game of the whole competition.

Shouldn't the last ball have been called a dead ball and rebowled after the Australian players ran onto the field before it hit the boundary?

Correct. A possible 5 run penalty as well. Common sense played out though.

Annoying to lose on D/L especially knowing that one more over and we probably would have won it.

Well done to Ireland.

Sorry Owl, I’m entitled to my opinion.

T20 bashathon reminds me of me and my mates blasting away at anything at Stepney social indoor cricket. Most of us held the cricket bat up like a Yankee baseball bat, twitching away at anything loose coming our way. Can’t remember anyone holding a straight bat protecting their wickets.

I say again - there is ONE World Cup. The king of sports on this planet. Soccer-Football. No, not the sport of kings (bourgeoisie horse racing).

And certainly not like the likes of a Rugby League so-called “World Cup”, a sport confined to NSW/QLD and a few English counties.

T20 is over-exposed by Lord Murdoch’s Foxytel pay-and-pay TV. Murdoch the officially Yankee citizen should just f.U.cc.K off from Straya and concentrate on his Yankee 🥎 sports.

I prefer Test cricket to T20.

There have been rumour's of a big cricket story emerging very soon which would a massive blow to Test cricket.

I do look forward to test series more. T20 I will watch when I can but won't make any special effort. I liken it to watching 7-a-side or 5-a-side game to that of a proper football match.

I think ODI's (50 over cricket) is more at risk than tests, but that could vary depending on different nations.

So many games being weather affected. Why did they put the tournament at the wrong time of year in a place known for its rain?

True why did they host the Cricket World Cup in England in 2019

I don't understand why there aren't any contingencies in place in case of rain.
The games take maybe 3.5 hours - you could have a couple of catch-up days with some triple-headers and make sure each game gets played.
For the record I don't care about this tournament and a "T20 world cup" is already farcical enough that games getting washed out just makes it even more of a debacle
