The Barmy Army gave actually made a statement that Paine should not be targetted by England fans because of the mental health aspect.

Already heard some good one for Smith and Cummins though.
Smith I can understand, Cummins is an interesting one. I guess you have to try and put the captain off somehow. I assume he will be fielding at mid-off or mid-on most of the time from now on so at least he'll be closer to the crowd than the slips cordon. ;-)

If you were the Ill itting hat then you are fair game.

How funny it will be if you play ingles, Khawaja and laubasagne.
Ill itting hat? Translation please.

Doubt the first two will get picked but who knows
Ill fitting hat.

Did you realise Paine is out? Ingles in next cab off the rank to take the gloves.

Khawaja a reasonable chance of playing in the middle order as well.
Hoping that Carey get the keeping position, especially after his century on Sunday.
Do you think that white ball form should be considered as relevant to red ball form?

We'll see. Carey still a chance for keeper's job, Usman would be very lucky indeed
From the reading I have done, it seems to only SA's who think Carey is better.

I think all batting form should be considered.

Also read that Clarke has put his hand up to say Carey should get the spot. Not just us South Aussies it seems.

Time for CA to move the 5th Test to Hobart, it’s clear King Mark not interested in keeping it.

On Back Page show last night Brett Lee said Carey was obvious choice. Coming from a New South Welshman, that's quite significant! ;-)

Because the ability to build an innings and play sensible shots is needed in the red ball game.

The fact you need to be told this speaks volumes.

Ok, I'll pipe in given we aren't far away from day one of the first test.

If I had to bet, I'd actually punt for a drawn series again, meaning Australia will retain the ashes, maybe another 2-2.

In our favour: home grounds, fairly experienced team (even though starting eleven not yet known)

In england favour: more recent test match cricket, settled captain

Winning the toss will be a big advantage so a lot may depend on who gets the luck of the flip.

What did I deflect?

a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.

"they made certain assumptions about the market"

That should do it.
