Women's T20 World Cup
Why would they hold it in a place known for its rain?
Looks like it's going to end England and australia's tournaments. Disappointing but funny none the less.

6 or 7 weeks ago they could have almost been smoked out, now this.

Australia made the final, so your comment is invalid, again

Re: Women's T20 World Cup
The whole thing looks rigged - were SA were robbed ? by the stupid D/L system for rain shorten matches which gives the team batting second no chance of winning . Does anyone know how many teams have won batting second using that system ?
They wanted to make sure they sold some tickets by Australia making the final - hardly anyone there last night.

The final has been sold out for weeks.

Disappointing but that's the competition rules and all sides knew them going into it.

Its a stupid rule tbh, The organisers didn't allow for a catch up day if it washed out, unlike the mens ODI cup.
they have a spare day for the final, but not the semi's

Re: Women's T20 World Cup
was the pitch doctored for the australian bowlers ?
the physical difference between Australia and India was intimidating like watching us compete against school girls

Re: Women's T20 World Cup
A funny comment early in the Indian Innings from the Indian Female commentator as the second wicket had fallen/ caught. The female commentator said the batsman had just hit the 2 4s but it would have been better if she had hit the shot she was out on along ground.

How was she out?
Failing to see the funny part.

Didn't india best them in the group?
SA was D/L, which certainly has flaws.

Yes, and Australia smashed them in the final (as opposed to being pipped once), so clearly the better team.
D/L has flaws, much like how a tied game can be awarded to a team over another - hmmm, when did that happen recently.....

It happened in the World Cup which England won, I'm not surprised you pretend to forget England winning the world cup.
So, it was 1-1. Hardly shows who the better team was.
As you have said, D/L is flawed.
MY point exactly.

1 win each. Pretty simple really

Are you saying a better team can only be chosen after looking at all games they have ever played together?
