Circumstances that prevailed weren't england's fault so in my book they are fair winners.

Don't see any problem with dissecting decisions, tournament rules either as without further consideration, maybe nothing will change should similar situations arise in future.

In tight games such as this, it's natural to discuss "could have, should have, if only........."

Personally, I'm not fussed who won the trophy...do they actually get the trophy to take home or a replica.
(I think that even though I was actually born in England I am decidedly more Australian than Stokes is English but I've never punched anyone on the streets in front of a CC camera to find out.)
I remember in the E&DJSA they would decide tied Queens Birthday Cup Carnival games with a corner count back.

Stokes is as English as Symonds Australian to me. Not knocking either but just the way I see it.

I completely agree, however he qualifies the same way as some of these people seem to think they're australian. Obviously the wannabes aussies have learnt the hypocrisy.

Others have been caught, Atherton a prime example, this appeared worse. They have paid the price though, I have no problem with them playing - but I also have no problem with constant verbal abuse from the crowd.

The ICC rules say if you have played in a country for 4 years you can then play for that country.

No problem. Sport and fans go together, sledging from the opposing fans is acceptable to me.

After a while it will become tedious, then anyone still doing it will look more a right twat, especially if Warner, Smith & Bancroft (if selected) play well and make big scores (and winning would help). :wink:

I noticed many of the members (at Lords) gave each Aussie player a warm round of applause. Even if they made only a small contribution with the bat (maybe sarcasm?).
