My favourite event on the annual sporting calendar and the one I'd pick to attend if I could choose any sporting event in the world (especially all 4 days) 8)

And well done Daniel. :)

I can't see that being an annual event somehow.

Even still, if it clashed with the GP, and it was all expenses paid, I'd still probably pick the GP. 8)

Suddenly a post about F1 happens when an aussie scrapes in the win. That said, a great rear guard action from shoe boy. Another track though and he probably comes last.

It's not his first F1 win, but you knew that.

I just love the back drop of this particular GP - looking forward to visiting there again in couple months. :D

Of course I know it's not his first win.

It's a great grand prix but in racing terms not the greatest. I love the fact that the roads are open up right now, not weeks later.

Well, I could have posted about his first win when it happened, but didn't.

This is more about Monaco and the splendour of the event rather than his win.

So just coincidence that it coincided with the aussie getting the win then?

Yes, I just noticed that I never highlighted my favourite event on here before. Thought I did already but then realised it was FB last year.

It's not like you posting when a pom wins a boxing match or anything.

I always do that, but I don't deny it

Lewis leading the championship.

True, he did say he'd harp on about tiddlywinks if England was good at it.

I think I said, I'd support England in tiddlywinks. Don't think I said "if we were good at it".

I believe they were world champs (at least a few years ago when I looked in up). Fitting

You could count the times an Aussie has been the World Champion in FI on the hand of a careless butcher.

And Lewis the classy loser whingeing about it being a boring race.

I'm sure he would have kept his pretty boy mouth shut if he'd won.

Whingeing? He wasn't wrong.

You don't have to be wrong to be a whinger.

So he was right, he mentioned it once in an interview when asked. So, how's he whingeing?

I didn't hear the interview so you might want to direct that at stitch. I'm merely pointing out that you don't have to be wrong to be a whinger.
EG - a pom here in summer and its 32 degrees - "it's fooking too hot, fook this place, I wish I was back in england".
Yeah, it may be hot (to him) so he's right (in his mind) but he's still whingeing about it.

I think we need some rules on whingeing. To me it needs to be excessive or about a wrong reason. I think aussies unserstand the meaning.

Rules on whingeing - interesting. Being wrong is just being wrong to my mind, but I suppose it is possible to whinge and be wrong too.
Going on and on and on about the same old thing over and over and over - to me that's the purest form of whingeing.

So in this case, Lewis wasn't whingeing?

To me though, it has to be for silly reasons. I mean of my mum was shot in the face, would I be whingeing if I wanted justice.

I didn't hear the interview, so will let stitch answer it. It can be in the tone of voice too. EG - ohhhhh daaaaaaad, why cant I go out and play in the rain, you never let me go out and play (pouts, folds arms).
Point 2 fair enough.
