Adelaide 500

Post by Mápó Tòfu »

Why are they referring to this as the twentieth anniversary of the race? It may be the twentieth race but it's only the nineteenth anniversary.

I must be one of the few who are quietly glad this race is being booted from the city. I know it was a good money spinner for some businesses which is a negative, but on the plus side it keeps a few more bogans away and the eastern suburbanites can stop whingeing about the traffic snarls it creates temporarily.

Not good news from a state promotion perspective ,more or less reinforces that only two sports are worthy of significant government investment . Be no surprise if they abandon the Tour Down Under next .

That would be awesome (or at least get the village out of Victoria Square).

Not really, there's not many of them. How often does a skater hold you up when driving around Adelaide?

Nothing bad a bad idea to cancel this race. Hopefully they come to their senses and bring it back.
