So why are the Aussies afraid of him and saying he shouldn't be allowed to play?

Surely not from the moral high ground

He sure did. Maybe why I'm not a selector. That said, who's to say someone else wouldn't have done similar?

So a few journos and some bloggers might say he should face charges and be dealt with first, and now "Aussies are afraid of him"?

Bring him on I say - at least it might even things up a bit.

The amount of cons online even saying he shouldn't be even allowed in the country shows a lot are scared of him.

Ask the same people if they would condone the reverse, ie a player here was facing assault charges touring before it was heard by the courts. Nothing to do with being scared, just some bellends likely to be taking the high moral ground, which you get everywhere and anywhere.

As if they're going to answer that truthfully. They didn't seem to complain over warner's tint ban.

Did Warner belt the living suitcase out of anyone in his own country before the tour whilst awaiting local charges?

Stokes has been charged hasn't he?

I thought the issue was when he gets prosecuted?

Poms need 354 to win.

Gettable, but would have to bat out of their skin.

Money still on Oz.

Agreed, but can only assume given only 4 specialist bowlers and 3 more tests coming, he wanted to freshen them up as they are a bit injury prone.

If England win, and Root is there at the end, he will not only be man of the match, he'll probably be knighted!

Good way to freshen them up would have been to dismiss a team early, and have an extra day off.

But now we are into Day 5.

Yeah, I doubt he would have thought they'd only make 138 though. At least it has woken the game up (and the barmy army who I couldn't hear at all for the first two days at least).

Warner's was a drunken unprovoked attack. Stokes was defence.

No, he's not been charged.

Still being investigated by the police it seems.

Ok will take your word for it, I misunderstood because they said he had been arrested on the news and that it had been passed onto the prosecutors.

147 needed by poms, 3 wickets Aussies. Root out big plus for us, but have seen tails wag before.

Regardless of result, has been an intriguing match. Captain decisions, DRS, umpires, ebbs and flows, bit of controversy here and there.

On a personal level was good to have met Michael Slater and Bob Willis when I attended first two days.

Ah well, 2-0.

One hand on the trophy, or too soon to call?

Bring in Ben - give the poms a look in.

Perth next - new pitch?

To be fair both tests so far there were stages that you could say England were right in it, but even they would agree there were some sessions where they got caned, more so than us, and they were too big mountains to climb.

Over to Perth. :)

I agree but think it should only be used by third umpire for complete howlers.
