So you would be OK with a country making the excuse and having a cry because it's too hot for cricket in Australia and as such they shouldn't have the tournament there?

I don't think I whinge about it, I comment about it. Whingeing has become so common in the aussie nature that you now just assume that every comment is a whinge.Bomber wrote:Then why whinge about it so often?God is an Englishman wrote:

I don't think I've ever blamed England's early exit on the weather though.

You'd probably say the goose was whingeing about not wanting to be killed for Christmas dinner.Bomber wrote:You still singing that "I don't whinge, I comment" tune.

Being killed and moaning about weather are slightly apart one would think.God is an Englishman wrote:You'd probably say the goose was whingeing about not wanting to be killed for Christmas dinner.Bomber wrote:You still singing that "I don't whinge, I comment" tune.

There is an out for you at least. If ever you are rich enough to enjoy coastal living out west, the sea breeze will abate your otherwise "negative comment elongations" about the Aussie heat.

"Out West" is only a couple of degrees cooler than the eastern suburbs in summer, so if its 42 in the east, wow, it's only going to be 40 in the west. Thanks Bumbler for pointing this out to us, I guess there will be a rush to buy in the west now that you've enlightened us all.

Renters in outer areas cant afford it, so don't bother. You can always dream though.B.Toomer wrote:"Out West" is only a couple of degrees cooler than the eastern suburbs in summer, so if its 42 in the east, wow, it's only going to be 40 in the west. Here's an article all about renting where you want to live but buying elsewhere. Principle is the same, even if one of my properties is worth more than the one I live in.

World Cups:

How many have England won ?
I am guessing, none?

Monopoly houses don't count. I'd say near Whitmore Square perhaps?B.Toomer wrote:I've never lived in the north or outer suburbs Bumbler. Owned a house since I was 21. Guess again.
Back on topic - where was the weather to save you this time? God must be a Muslim

Its called selective memory, or early signs of senility. Ask Old Master about it. :wink:God is an Englishman wrote:I can't remember the last time the weather saved us. I can remember it saving Australia though.Bomber wrote:I thought you had at least a reasonable grasp on recent cricket history?

England were 37-3 at around lunch on the final day, that's not even close to the rain saving us.ozzie owl wrote:http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/ ... 2ral0.html
So, still struggling to remember the last time the weather saved us in an Ashes game.

Hmm lets see... If Ozzies won this test (which they should of) the result would of been 2-1 to the poms with x2 games to go...
What about the celebrations from the Poms when the rain started, they knew they were in cabernet creek!

Also, take a look at the 5th test scorecard. Rain definitely saved the aussies in that one.

Seems like someone's memory is slowly coming back. Selective memory is an issue however and medical opinion should be sought before it gets worse (if possible)
