Maybe the bookies might give me some early odds.

I'm going for 50-100.

Unfortunately, the protesters are getting bigger and more riskier in their stunts.
Look at the recent climate change protesters and their stupidity in their protests.

as for a tip on the race.... don't bet!

One of the best ever.
West Adelaide Soccer Club president Alex Alexandrou said the club was still in a position to be playing and training at the new ground either by the end of the 2015 season or in 2016.

You'd think winning a race here wouldn't be a problem then. How many attempts is it now?

Quite a few. His record speaks for itself. I even remember him winning every race at the track one day.

Long way to travel for it year after year, so must mean something. I guess the losing "big events" is something the poms are getting quite good at.

Big money doesn't always equate to big event.

What have "poms" got to do with this?

But which is the bigger event? The Melbourne Cup is probably THE biggest event on the calendar (any sport) here. It stops the nation!

Here. On the racing calendar it's not that big a deal. Worldwide probably not even the biggest race in australia anymore

Of course here. But so many from overseas are desperate to win it.

And if that's the way you look at it, then the English FA cup must be so far down the scale its almost irrelevant.

What racing event creates a public holiday in other countries?

Who cares about what people in Europe think about the Melbourne Cup?

Maybe we should survey the people of Bulgaria to get their approval.

What's Italy's main event? Is that the one where everyone chucks tomatoes at each other?
