Ah yes - Junior Cornes.
The man who wanted to fight fires for a living - before realising that regular tv appearances and writing columns with an 'expert' opinion provided a lot more cushier lifestyle

As a crows supporter i actually agreed with a fair chunk of what he had to write - the Crows exceeded all initial expectations this year and as they continued to do so during the year, everyone's expectations grew quite rapidly.
I was disappointed we didn't finish top 4 but i honestly think the furthest we would have gone is Prelim Final weekend.
Our lack of midfield depth would hurt us in Finals especially against the other top 6 teams.

I was very happy that we made finals (and even won one) but the room for improvement is quite apparent.
As long as we continue to make those improvements then next year we can certainly push for longer Finals campaign.

You forgot to mention, that he is training to compete in a marathon later this week for charity.....

nope......all Sydney final in Melbourne will highlight the stupidity of having a fixed venue.....

GF should be circulated around all capital cities

^^^^^^^^

2 things.....

1 - The FA Cup has always been a national club based comp...whereas the AFL claims to be national based but is in reality Vic-ccentric

2 - you cite the FA Cup as some form of guiding light we should aspire to....not even the English rate it...unless they make the final...oh and maybe Arsenal.

I am pretty sure the majority of countries play their cup final at a predetermined venue every year, not just England.

hmmmmmm....the AFL GF is not a cup final...its to determine the Premier.

Well done Patty Dangerfield on the brownlow win.

Just proves that once you play in a Victorian team, you get more votes!

Well done Bulldogs, played an epic finals series. Cant agree with the Norm Smith medallist though - how many kicks did he butcher straight to the opposition?

^^^^^^^^ too right.

They might as well name it 'the winning teams player with the most stats' award

BOG (most influential player) = Kennedy....and then Picken

Well deserved. He has had the best individual season I've ever seen.
Great story for the doggies getting up too. So much has happened in the previous years and they've overcome every obstacle.
Kennedy, picked and Boyd were all great on Saturday and JJ did turnover heaps so I don't agree. He did gain a lot more metres than most players.

After watching SANFL and AFL Grand Finals, cant help but feel that Aussie Rules has degenerated into a roaming pack of players which moves around the ground. Lots of times you have all 36 players crowded inside the 50 metre arc.

If Boyd kicked straight in the last minutes of the GF, he would of won it with 4 goals, surely.

Kennedy deserved it though.
