Awesome defensive performance.

Give the Taffs a two man advantage and they still can't cross the line :)

I'm on the bandwagon :P

Shackle draggers have an easy route to the final now as well. NZ not looking like the force they have been either.

2 Scots forwards banned from the QF against Aussies after being cited by the commissioner who of course is Australian, conflict of interest ??

Cant see our lot being at full tilt either, although our second string side should cope if they needed to.

That said, sport can throw up unusual occasions, so not talking it up too much as the Jocks have been more than nuisance value in recent tests against the Wallabies.

Yeah, read somewhere that the jocks are a bit of a bogey side for the Aussies. Might be a nervous 80 minutes after all

As no one has posted in this for almost two days is it safe to assume the tournament has finished, or is that only for England?

No I think you'll find that the tournament is still on in England. You can tell coz there is atmosphere

There's a team of Fijian/ Tongan/ Samoan rejects kitted out in yellow shirts complete with grass stains still there, so plenty of riff raff.

A bloke walked into a pub in England, there was an Aussie, a Scot, An Irishman, a Frenchman, an Argie, a Saffer..............sounds like a joke at first, but it's really just about a meeting of people who are still in the World Cup....

Surely the Aussie was already there, every pub needs an Aussie behind the bar.

Surely it's only whingeing when it's justified - terrible display by the ref which handed australia the win. Everyone in the ground knew he had got that wrong (including him)

Another real time incident viewed and distorted in slow motion, this time in rugby by the kiwi video ref. Result scotsman wrongly sent from field for deliberate knock on and aussies score, diabolical miscarriage of justice after the fact. In a world cup QF and all, no excuse for that to happen. As for that call at the end, no wonder the saffer ref legged it once he blew the whistle.

4 teams from southern hemisphere left. Another "4 nations mini-tournament" left.

At least the northern hemisphere countries might learn something. :D

Going to be one of the few times I will want australia to win in rugby in the semis.

argentina are the surprise for me, they keep getting to the semis but they're not very good.

scotland also a shock as well, terrible rugby side who should have beaten australia but for south african intervention.

Wont be easy. Still think the Kiwis are (almost) un-backable favourites. Maybe Lidon's mob could cause an upset first?

I said at the start that the winner of Group B would lose to NZ in the final.

That was just to appease the Pakistani bookies. These bookies were seen lurking around the recent cricket test I hear too.

It's OK, I'm sure the ref was only giving pitch reports

Heard same. Dustbowl, take a lot of spin and sideways movement by day 5.
