You're saying the poms, I'm saying the complete opposite. With Clarke and Smith going cheeply it's definitely not advantage poms.

I'm guessing it's 1-0 then.

I said 3-1, so there's your one.

England played better, no doubt, but we were well below par and just need to win toss and bat next test and I think we will hit back. Looks like Siddle will come in for injured Starc and if Watson doesnt get dropped for Mitch Marsh, then its almost as though I hope we lose................almost.

Haddin takes that catch off Root and I think it's a whole different game. Don't panic Aussie fans I think you're still in this and can improve.

The whinging will be heard 12000 miles away. Come in shane worn, 5zip you said, and mcgrath usually chimes in with a 5-0 about this time of year!

Well, they've been right about 5-0's a couple times in recent history, but yes, to expect it all the time is a bit over the top. No-one has whinged about anything - maybe the odd journo might pop up with some rubbish, but on to the next test is the main theme, so pipe on.

Mega was claiming the doctored pitch above. Seen a few on Facebook doing the same as well. I agree though, the majority have been gracious losers this time. So gracious they've not even mention Voges cheating.

They've been wrong with the 5-0 more than they've been right.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I don't know about doctoring pitches but youre doctoring history....

I clearly made references to English comments about the pitch being doctored to blunt Australias 4 man pace attack...which is what Clarke said he would have gone with 3 days before the start until he then saw the pitch the day before...

you cant lose by over 100 runs with a day to spare and blame anyone but yourself....

Hence the anticipation of Lord’s becomes ever more fevered alongside a growing curiosity about what sort of pitch Australia will find there. A prediction is that they will be grumpy if it lacks the pace of the excellent pitch prepared there for New Zealand in May.

I don't get anyone whingeing about doctored pitches. It's called home advantage.

The problem is, Australia want EVERYTHInG their way. Pitches, the ball, the weather, the crowd, expect to win, sledge EVERYTEAM, etc etc etc.
they're worse than the yanks!
Sucked in Aussies. Hope you get pumped.
Go you POMS

Don't really care about "doctored" pitches anyway - its an away series and as such you use home team's ball type, grounds, pitch conditions, weather etc etc.
I think the difference is all the grounds here offer help to all sorts at some point.
Gabba - best wicket as it is pretty even (favours batsmen, pacemen and spinners at various times)
AO - usually a batting paradise but often seem to get results there though
MCG - has changed a bit over the years but usually is fairly even, bit like Gabba
WACA - paceman's pitch but big scores not unusual if you play attacking cricket
SCG - spinner's wicket

Sub-continent its usually
road, road, road road, road will take spin after the first few overs

England used to be more seam bowler friendly although one must admit they are more slower wickets these days. End of day, they did bowl a better line and length and regardless of pitches etc, do that and you'll win more often than you'll lose.

Who??

If the current Aussie bowlers (except Lyon) continue to bowl that crap that they have been, the POMS will win and go 2-0 up!

If this is true, then I await some SA whingeing that they've picked the best keeper.
