Hasn't had to. Saving himself for your lot again, so we can see some more early retirements, visits to the head shrinks etc again.God is an Englishman wrote:Maybe that's why mummy's boy hasn't been bowling fast this series. What's his excuse this series?

Listening to the news go on about Johnson withdrawing from the final test is cringeworthy. It's not exactly a big deal considering it's effectively a dead rubber.

So good that it was on the other foot this time

Only one early/premature retirement I can think of.God is an Englishman wrote:Well that came true.Bomber wrote:Hasn't had to. You'll have to remind me, which of our players are off to head shrinks again?

I guess Haddin hasn't actually retired yet, he just ran home.
"Anyone who thinks in retiring at the end of this series doesn't know me very well"
Johnson showing he's only good on the doctored Australian wickets.

You'll find that players go home when a) injured or b) not required/selected for final test or one dayers, regularly.
Going to the shrink is more rare and noticeable.

so it's OK for your players to go home when not selected but not ours. I get you now.Bomber wrote:You'll find that players go home when a) injured or b) not required/selected for final test or one dayers, regularly.

"Not selected" - well, I suppose if one spits the chewy and/or has mental issues or retires mid-series and asks to leave there and then, not much point picking him for the team.God is an Englishman wrote:so it's OK for your players to go home when not selected but not ours. But most people can play spot the difference when making comparisons to the last tour. Perhaps your just in the minority, which is fair enough.

Re: What a champagne Michael Clarke
Trott - the Aussies are bashing me up, I wanna go home.
Swann - the Aussies are smashing me all over the park, and I cant take it any more, I wanna go home (and eventually retire).
Haddin - dropped, not re-selected, one test to go, not in one dayers, very sick child at home. Simple maths, logical decision.
Clarke - At least stayed till last test.
Swann - the Aussies are smashing me all over the park, and I cant take it any more, I wanna go home (and eventually retire).

Love you've just decided your own reasons for it happening. Don't let facts get in the way there.Bomber wrote:Trott - the Aussies are bashing me up, I wanna go home.

Swann no selected, told he wouldn't be for 5th test either. Family at home he wanted to be with over Christmas. Simple maths, logical decision.

Re: What a champagne Michael Clarke
Clarke was a knob, a brat and a sore loser in all 4 of his trips to England even Trevor Bayliss now seems to agree. Can only assume he'll be an even bigger knob with his mate warnie in the commentary box
