Yep Pujara won it. No one even came close to him I reckon.

If not, Bumrah would have been as good a candidate

Bumrah was in line to win it, especially if he got a chance to bowl again in the aussie second innings.
Pujara is a legend, and deserved it.
What a series!

India deserved it hands down - I would have liked to see how the last test would have unfolded IF Australia won the toss and batted first though (and less rain intervention).

Looks like Australia is producing batsmen who are unable to build an old fashion test innings, saturation of BBL in the cricket calender is nbot gpoing to help.

Other nations seem to cope ok with all the T20 going on. Is it therefore scheduling, or just the saturation? Sadly the almighty dollar dictates everything nowadays. I'm already over the BBL - they should have kept it at playing each other once (and rotate the home/away each new season).
No-one watches Shield cricket, so it wont change any time soon.

Don't panic Warner and Smith to come back in soon. I think both will come back immediately, CA must be shitting themselves that if they don't pick him, Warner might tell his side of the story.

I'm sure there are some skeletons in the closet so to speak. Whether there will be any truth or exaggerations there remains to be seen. Either way I can see 60 minutes arranging a "tell all" at some point, most likely when he retires or is dumped from a CA contract, which has to happen one day.

Smith was the Best batsman in the world before he was suspended, so he deserves to be back into squad!
Warner, as much as I don't like him as a person, is in the top 3 batsman of the aussie squad!

Warne had 12 (?) months off and was an automatic pick upon return. Doubt Warner or Smith will play a test "cold" ie without some first class batting behind them first.

Wonder if they'll ask Joe Burns if he is happy with Will Pucovski being his new test opening partner. :P
